Which standards do you manufacture to?
Most commonly IEC 60502-1 and IEC 60502-2 for power cable, IEC 60227 and IEC 60245 for building and flexible wire, IEC 61089 for ACSR, plus the equivalent national standards: BS 5467, BS 6724, BS EN 50525, AS/NZS 5000.1, AS/NZS 3560.1, NFC 33-209, GB/T 12706 and GB/T 12527. Send us the standard number on your specification and we will confirm compliance before quoting.
Can you produce to a different standard or a customer specification?
Yes, in most cases. We regularly manufacture to buyer specifications and to tender documents that combine several standards. Any clause that conflicts with our normal construction is flagged and confirmed in writing before the order is placed, so there is no argument after delivery.
Do you provide CE marking and a Declaration of Conformity?
Yes. We can issue a CE Declaration of Conformity together with the supporting test reports for the relevant harmonised standard. Whether a notified-body certificate is also needed depends on the voltage class and on what your customs authority or end client accepts - tell us the requirement and we will confirm exactly what we can provide before you commit.
Do you comply with RoHS and REACH?
Yes. Our compounds and process are controlled to meet RoHS (2011/65/EU and amendment 2015/863) and the REACH SVHC declaration requirement. A third-party RoHS test report and a REACH SVHC declaration can be issued with the shipment.
Is your factory ISO certified?
Yes. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001, and environmental and occupational safety management follow ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Copies of the current certificates are available on request and are sent with the quotation when a tender requires them.
Can you provide type test reports?
Yes. Type test reports to IEC 60502 or the equivalent standard are available for standard constructions, either from our own laboratory or from an accredited third-party laboratory. For a new construction a fresh type test can be arranged, with cost and lead time quoted separately.
