Can you quote in a currency other than USD?
Yes. We can quote and invoice in USD, EUR or RMB. Please confirm the currency at the enquiry stage, as the exchange-rate assumption forms part of the price.
Is the price negotiable for larger quantities?
Yes. Volume and repeat orders attract better pricing, and we will also look at savings from a longer production run, a standard drum length or simplified packing. Send the annual or project volume and we will quote against it.
What is your standard lead time?
Standard LV cable is typically 15 to 25 days after receipt of the deposit and confirmation of the drawings; MV cable and large orders normally need 25 to 35 days. Sampling and type testing add time. The firm date is confirmed on the proforma invoice, and if we see a risk to it we tell you early rather than on the shipping date.
What payment terms do you accept?
Our standard terms are 30 percent T/T deposit with the balance against a copy of the bill of lading, or 100 percent irrevocable L/C at sight. Other arrangements can be discussed for repeat customers, and the agreed terms are stated on the proforma invoice.
Do you accept an L/C at sight?
Yes, an irrevocable L/C at sight issued by a first-class bank. Please send us the draft L/C before it is issued so we can check that every documentary requirement - inspection certificate, certificate of origin, packing details - can be met exactly. Discrepancies at presentation are the most common cause of delayed payment.
Can you send samples?
Yes. Short lengths of standard constructions can be sent by courier. Samples are normally charged at a nominal cost plus freight, and the sample cost is credited against the order. Custom-built samples need a small production run, so allow extra lead time.
